About Engineering
The Engineering Department designs, manages, and inspects capital improvement projects; issues encroachment permits for work in City rights-of-way; manages the City's stormwater program; and provides traffic engineering services to maintain safe, efficient streets.

Encroachment Permits
Any work within a City street, sidewalk, or right-of-way requires an encroachment permit. Apply in person at City Hall or download the application from the City's website. Allow 5–10 business days for processing.
