Meeting Schedule
The City Council meets regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. Special meetings may be called upon 24 hours' notice.
How to Participate
The public is welcome to speak at all City Council meetings during the public comment period. Speakers are typically allowed up to three (3) minutes per item. Written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk before 4:00 PM on the day of the meeting.
Council Roles and Responsibilities
The McLainberg City Council is the legislative body of the City. Its primary responsibilities include:
- Adopting City ordinances, resolutions, and policies
- Approving the City's annual budget and capital improvement program
- Appointing the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk
- Approving major land use decisions, including General Plan amendments and specific plans
- Representing the interests of McLainberg residents in regional and state matters
- Setting priorities for City services and infrastructure
